Robert McComas President

Bob McComas was appointed the President of Squash ACT in early 2013.  This followed two years as President of the Vikings Squash Club. 

Bob works for the Federal Government and has significant experience in strategic policy, project and contract management.  He also has business management skills in managing and implementing cultural change in large organizations.


Bob also has a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management

Michael Nuttall Director

Michael Nuttall is the Executive Officer of the Australian Primary Principals Association where he oversees the operations of its Canberra-based national office and provides executive level support to its National Council and Board. Prior to this he worked as a teacher in Sydney before moving to Canberra where he took up the first of his two principal positions. 

A social squash player from his school years, Michael picked up his racquet after a ten-year break to play his first competition squash match as he turned fifty. He currently has a social hit every Thursday as well as playing Masters and occasionally reserving in Pennant.

Ross Reid Director

A commercial lawyer in Canberra for forty years, and am currently Chair of the Law Society Complaints Committee. Played competition squash for Kippax and Dickson for 35 years, and have remained as Public Officer for the Dickson club for many years. Am trekking mad and spend as much time as possible in Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet.

Michael Hill Director

Michael is currently leading the growth, and management of the Opus International Consultant’s Canberra operation.

Michael is a registered Civil Structural Engineer, a 2016 Roads Australia Fellow, the chairman of the Engineers Australia Civil and Structural Committee in Canberra, the Vice Chairman of the Consult Australia Federal committee, sits on the Canberra Executive committee and is a Director for Squash ACT.  Michael is passionate about strong ethical leadership which shapes our industry and community.

His tenacity to solve complex problems through innovation and resourcefulness has made Michael a trusted professional among his colleagues, peers and most of all his clients.

Russell Weatherburn Director

Russell has been an IT professional for over 20 years, working in both private enterprise and Government.

Russell has been an accredited Squash referee since 200? and gained WSF accreditation in 2014.  Russell received the Squash Australia Referee of the Year award for 2010

Russell was elected to the Board in 2016 and is the current Finance Director.
